The Disclaimer

We all know about the disclaimer. You know the part at the end that's written really small or that's said at turbo speed?

Now imagine a disclaimer like this at the beginning of an ad:

We wanted to take time before you hear about our product to let you know what the reasonable chances are that you will make any money at all. We wanted to let you know the time required to do so. By reasonable, we mean if you are willing to work hard at it. By time, we mean that it will take you approximately 30 hours to break through at all. You can do this in three years at 10 hours a year. Or, you can do it in three days at 10 hours a day. By breaking through, we mean that you will have made your first five dollars (exactly). To make more you will have to keep working and tweaking said system. Exactly seven people have made over $11,000 using this method. The quickest to reach the 11k plateau made it there after 9 months. He was a real go-getter. Don't expect to press a button and have it happen. You must work to achieve the examples we have given.

We have sold 4,037 units of this specific product. Here is the breakdown of units sold: 2,100 units went unopened (1,400 sold at garage sales), 800 were opened but unused, 740 units were opened with part of the first chapter being read, 374 made it to the second chapter and stopped, the remaining 23 units were read completely. Out of those, 19 made some attempt at using the methods taught in the product. You have read about the seven who made it already.

It is very unlikely that if you do exactly as instructed in the product, that you will ever get rich from it. Although rich is a relative term. I will clear this up for you. It is very unlikely you will make over 50k dollars in any one given year using this product. Also, being that markets are constantly changing, this information may be of little use to you. This will not prevent us from marketing it to you.

Of course we have to have our vague testimonials:

'I'm not waiting on my dreams any longer'.'I was broke, but I can see how this will help me'.'I just made my first money with this system. I'm excited'.'I'm buying today because I'm ready to live my life to the fullest'.

You may not be a buyer of said product any longer. You may decide that there are better ways to spend a few bucks. Then again, you may just take them up on their offer because you know that, barring something catastrophic, you will make it work. You are persistent, and you want it bad enough. Perfect.
